Robert Ford Corrigan was an American actor, director and educator. Known to friends as “Bob,” he graduated from the University of Iowa, along with his wife, Mary. Corrigan served in the Army during WWII and on his return, landed at San Diego State College, teaching stagecraft, stage and costume design. He was scene designer for the San Diego Shakespeare Festival and La Jolla Playhouse.

Bob and Mary moved to Los Angeles, where he worked as art director for NBC and ABC, pioneering work in color for both networks, notably NBC’s first color show — the famous Matinee Theater — as well as numerous other shows; and as set designer for Disney for a number of motion pictures.
